Compass Fostering Services are the only non-for-profit charity
providing a fostering service in Ireland. We are actively looking to
recruit, train and support individuals and families interested in
becoming foster carers. We provide **Apply on the website** hours a
day/7 days a week support to you, your family and foster child. We
provide comprehensive support services to enable you to provide care
to children that need it most.
The main aim for foster carers is to provide a stable home
environment, develop secure attachments and establish trustworthy
caring relationships with children and young people who have
experienced neglect, trauma and abuse.
We are looking for you to care for a child or children on a long-term,
short-term basis, or planned respite basis for children and young

What we ask of you is that you have previous experience with children
and young people. This can either be in an employed capacity,
voluntary basis or experience within your own family and friends
circle. Also, you must have a spare bedroom in your home and be able
to bring a foster child to school every day and family Access. If you
work part time/work remotely then fostering could be an option for
you.
We will ensure that all applicants wanting to become foster carers
with Compass are trained thoroughly through our comprehensive training
programme and supported through their fostering assessment and
